Banquet at the Dorchester rounds off Africa Fashion Week

Alexandra Burke, Bianca Jagger, Misha B and June Sarpong were among those at the Dorchester Hotel last night for a banquet dinner to celebrate the end of Africa Fashion Week, which was held last week at the Truman Brewery in Brick Lane. “With this event we intend to raise start-up funds for emerging talent and tuition fees for extremely talented designers, hence in a way we are empowering the youth of Africa," said Abuja-based businesswoman, architect and philantrophist Princess Fifi Ejindu, who was hosting the event. "The era of the hungry African child is long over and it is now time for our culture to be recognized globally.”
