With Andy Murray kicking of his final Wimbledon preparations at the Hurlingham Club today, guests heading to the championship next week will be putting the final touches to their courtside outfits.

And while the style stakes at the British tennis tournament are undeniably more subtle than other sporting events - cast your mind back to Ascot last week for a refresh - Wimbledon annually attracts some of the best and most understated celebrity wardrobes of the season.

Regular attendees Kate and Pippa Middleton are an regular sartorial highlight, while last year's event welcomed models Irina Shayk, Heidi Klum and Sienna Miller into its fashionable fold.

One guest who was entirely new to the world of being 'papped' - but effortless, nonetheless - was Jennifer Bate, girlfriend of British tennis player Marcus Willis.

Donning a delicate sleeveless shirt dress on day one of the tournament, Bate gave a patriotic nod to the championship with a Union Jack-emblazoned jacket tied loosely around her waist.

Another relatively new face on the scene last year came in the form of Australian model Frances Aaternir, who arrived wearing a pale pink Stella McCartney two-piece on the arm of boyfriend and actor Chiwetel Ejiofor.

But it wasn't just the women who stepped up their style game. Last year the tennis tournament also played host to a number of male celebrities flashing their finery.

Jude Law, Bradley Cooper, David Beckham, Aidan Turner, Niall Horan and James Norton were all in attendance and smartly turned-out. And just as well, too, considering Vogue's Editor in Chief Anna Wintour has a regular spot in the Royal Box.
