After a week of Harry Styles’s long-awaited film Don’t Worry Darling drama followed immediately by the world-changing news of the Queen’s passing, you’d be forgiven for forgetting about the premiere for Harry Styles and Emma Corrin’s new film, My Policeman. You’d even be forgiven for forgetting there was an entire film festival happening in Toronto. Who knew!

Well, now, you. The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is taking place for ten days this month, from September 8 to September 18. Hot on the heels of the headline grabbing Venice Film Festival, stars have rocked up at TIFF to promote their new films - including Harry Styles’ latest effort, My Policeman.

Styles, 28, appears alongside The Crown’s Emma Corrin in the seaside drama, set in the 1950s and centred around the relationship of a policeman and his new wife. Doesn’t sound much like a drama? Enter David Dawson, who plays Patrick, a museum creator who falls for Styles’ character — and Styles falls back.

This is the third film the As It Was singer has appeared in since branching out to acting, following performances in Dunkirk and Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling. Four, if you count his blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance in a post credits scene for Marvel’s Eternals.

Styles, Corrin and the rest of the My Policeman cast took to the TIFF red carpet yesterday to show off their new flick — and a little of their sartorial skills too.

Styles, who is known for his signature suit jacket and flares combo, gave us another serving for the premiere. The star wore a whole Gucci look incorporating three different green tones. The suit featured mint green trousers, a moss green blazer — which he wore over a bare chest — and finally a Kelly-green for his bamboo handle handbag.

The suit jacket is also emblazoned with an oversized green corsage, shaped like two lilies with accompanying leaves. The whole composition is giving some very Poison Ivy in 1997’s Batman Forever energy. But if there’s anyone who can rival Styles’ ability to turn a look, it’s the show-stopping red carpet star Emma Corrin. Pictures from the premiere show the 26-year-old running to cross the street in Toronto in a tiny black high-cut bodysuit with fully sheer sleeves, and a matching train by Miu Miu.

Corrin paired the bodysuit with black tights and heels, metallic makeup across the bridge of their nose and a thick eyeliner around the rim of their eyes. As well as a cheeky black beauty spot — because why the hell not.

Corrin is the Batman to Styles’ Poison Ivy and their Alfred arrives in the form of castmate David Dawson, looking dapper in a simple, slightly oversized black suit and white shirt combo, sans tie.

The film is said to have garnered a standing ovation from the audience at its premiere, which was cut short due to Styles having to catch a plane to immediately resume his world tour.
