Stella McCartney’s husband makes his first foray into fashion today with the launch of his first campaign for British wellington boot brand Hunter. Shot by acclaimed photographer Viviane Sassen and featuring rising stars Charlotte Wiggins and Matthew Holt, Alasdhair Willis’ debut for Hunter coincides with the brand’s arrival at London Fashion Week in February where they will stage their first ever catwalk show.

Aptly titled “Another Wet Summer”, the playful picture story sees Hunter attempt a transformation from British countryside brand into high fashion heavy weight. It also marks the launch of Hunter Originals – a spin-off line which will include knitwear and outerwear as well as the iconic wellington boots.

Willis, who has four children with Stella McCartney, is publishing director of Wallpaper magazine as well as founder of two brand consultancies and a furniture design company is excited about following in his wife’s footsteps. He said: “playing with our 160 year old heritage as a wet weather brand, the campaign utilises that very British sense of humour and irony to deliver a more relevant message about the future of Hunter.’
