The Duchess started wearing her £195 LK Bennett nude court shoes some time ago and sales of similar shoes have soared as a result. But the M&S ones give women a chance to steal her style for a mere £19.50.
M&S claims the rampant sales are a result of their latest TV advert but it seems more likely that the Kate effect is the real reason.
"Nude court shoes have always been a popular style for us, however, their popularity has grown by royal proportions over the last year and even more so since featuring in our September television advert," said Sally Ambrose, head of buying for footwear and accessories at Marks & Spencer.
"Although celebrity influence can often be a factor to increased sales the nude court shoe is a classic wardrobe staple that every woman should own."
The caramel courts are part of M&S's Limited Collection, available in other colours too, and have now become one of its best-selling shoe of all time.
Let's hope they're as comfortable as the LK Bennett version must be, given the number of times they make an appearance in the line of official duty.
