Bold tribal prints lit up New York Fashion Week yesterday as Diane Von Furstenberg took her latest spring/summer collection to the catwalk.

Created with the help of Furstenberg's new right-hand man Yvan Mispelaere, the collection also veered into previously uncharted, pared-down territory. Making use of flattering pastel shades of peppermint green, violet and coral, Von Furstenberg and her new recruit sent out elegantly-cut cigarette pants, slouchy boyfriend style blazers and a host of pencil skirts.
But the kaleidoscopic print dresses upon which Von Furstenburg has built her empire were still present, and echoed in the New York shows of DKNY and Tommy Hilfiger.

Oversized geometric shapes featured on jump-suits alongside sharp tribal-inspired dresses.
