Paul Smith took his inspiration from Patti Smith in this kooky show which was a delight on many levels - at least, it was for fans of the preppy, androgynous look.
A grown-up, wearable anecdote to all the Trends-with-a-capital-T we saw at London Fashion Week, from the boyish slacks to the mannish blazers and brightly coloured knits, everything looked covetable. Hell, even the glasses looked good, and we never thought we'd say that. But then, NHS-style glasses have been bubbling away as a trend for some time now: Alexa Chung can often be seen sporting a pair, while other recent spots have included Ellie Goulding, Helena Bonham Carter and David Beckham. We think Tinie Tempah wears his best, though.
Whether or not the celebrities in question have eyesight issues (Beckham? We doubt it), we commend them for lending a touch of glamour to the much-maligned spectacle. Laser surgery? Darling, it's so last season.
