The Pride Of Britain Awards took place in the capital last night in order to honour the inspiring men and woman who have acted extraordinarily over the past year.

The poignant awards ceremony, which is now in its 19th year, is always attended by Britain's best A-listers who are keen to show their support.

And this year the red carpet arrivals exceeded expectations. The guest list not only boasted Prince William, Liam Payne and Theresa May, but we also saw several celebs outdo themselves in the style stakes.

Leading the best-dressed was Holly Willoughby, who donned a couture lilac gown by Georges Hobieka, while Amanda Holden stunned in a low-cut number by Basil Soda.

Corrie star, Brooke Vincent even turned up in a wedding dress. However, the dreamy garment proved difficult to keep under control as she struggled in the billowing sheer skirt.

While most attendees sported couture gowns, others including Alesha Dixon, Montana Brown and Myleene Klass looked equally as dazzling in affordable numbers for the humble British high-street.

The singer and X Factor judge looked radiant in a romantic royal blue dress, which was covered in floral detail.

Although the dress looks haute, it is in fact from Alesha's own collection with Little Black Dress and costs a bargain £90.

Montana Brown

Love Island star Montana Brown hit the red carpet in a chic olive maxi dress with a plunging neckline.

We were surprised to discover that the glamorous get-up is a mere £25 from online store PrettyLittleThing, and comes in a variety of hues including burgundy, nude and black.
