A ruddy brilliant party, that’s what: Alice Naylor-Leyland and Martha Ward drank Negronis before sharing squid ink profiteroles at 5 Carlos Place. The star of the show? The dining table laden with Pilotto designs.

Vanessa Redgrave and Gillian Anderson mingled with bright young things like Ellie Bamber and Jessica Brown Findlay at Roland Mouret’s lunch for women in film at the Corinthia Hotel ahead of the Cannes Film Festival. Everyone drank Pinot Noir with their roasted goats’ cheese and salt-baked beetroot, while Mouret and Zawe Ashton snapped selfies.

Veuve Clicquot flowed at Nobu Hotel Shoreditch for the GQ Food & Drink Awards, where Claudia Winkleman and the Hemsley sisters nibbled (obviously excellent) yellowtail sashimi and black cod, while Jamie Oliver bagged a lifetime achievement award.
