Feel good factor: Electric Hairdressing

Electric Hairdressing Prescriptive Treatment

What? A prescriptive approach to combat all hair problems from dry, frizzy hair to flat, lifeless hair.

Beauty powers: Electric Hairdressing creative director Mark Woolley believes in seeing a job through, so the same member of the team does hair assessment, colouring and cutting.

The process: The consultation starts with an in-depth analysis of your face shape, natural colouring, hair texture and preferences to come up with your perfect style. After the hair has been coloured, the conditioning treatments are applied by way of a long, heavenly head massage.

Any surprises? It's the first salon where I didn't feel like an object passed between the colourist, the cutter, the shampooer and the poor sap at the end who does your blow-dry. Here you feel pampered and special.

Transformed? Another first — I have never had so many compliments about my hair and, perfect for someone like me who hasn't the time or inclination for complicated styling, all I do is wash my hair and walk out of the door.

Try it out: Electric Hairdressing Prescriptive Treatment includes cut, finish and Kerastase hair & scalp treatment. From £55, 29 Thayer Street, W1 (020 7935 0015,
