What it promises: To make your hair shinier, smoother and healthier, giving it a natural gloss that “even Kate Middleton would be envious of”.
What it actually does: Don’t worry, this doesn’t turn your hair platinum, it’s simply another hair conditioning treatment. A mixture of 24 carat platinum leaf slivers suspended in hot argan oil is massaged into my damp hair, which is then wrapped up in a hot towel. While I wait the ten minutes for it to be absorbed, I lie back and enjoy having my back kneaded by the massage chair I’m sitting in. The oil is then shampooed off and my hair rinsed with cold water, which I’m told locks in the moisture. It’s then blow dried. There’s no doubt my hair looks sleeker and glossier but I’m not sure if the platinum isn’t just another bit of silly marketing. I credit the argan oil and the expert blowdry.
