Life coach: Dan Rookwood

Our resident life coach talks wheelie good suitcases and the Shopkeeper Store
Vapor and Tegra-Lite suitcases from Tumi

Who makes the best wheeled suitcases?

Rimowa and Globe-Trotter (which recently opened a shop on Albemarle Street) make the best-looking luggage. But would you trust something that pretty with a burly baggage-handler? I did once and my aluminium Rimowa has never rolled the same since. If you don’t travel by private jet, I recommend Tumi to you (as the Chuckle Brothers might say). Check out the Vapor or Tegra-Lite (above) ranges in the new store at 211 Regent Street. Made of lightweight, impregnable polycarbonate with zips that don't bust, these cases can withstand anything. Even Ryanair.

Dan loves

Shopkeeper Store

I’m a sucker for independent shops. I like to wander around, discover new brands and get inspired. The Shopkeeper Store is the online equivalent. It stocks everything from workwear to pottery, stationery and pocket knives, all from little-known artisans. It’s like rifling through the log cabin of a very stylish man.
