Life coach par excellence Dan Rookwood empties his dresser and tunes in to Paul Weller tailoring

I need a wardrobe clearout. What should no longer be in it?

‘Stuffocation’: a wardrobe so choked with clothes, you can’t access most of them so you increasingly (with the emphasis on crease) end up rewearing the few items you can prise out. Time to give away anything… a) you haven’t worn in over a year; b) in an awkward colour or that has gone wrong in the wash; c) frayed, threadbare or discoloured; d) damaged beyond repair. More specifically jettison: really skinny ties, suits, T-shirts and jeans; pointy footwear; anything shiny apart from shoes; Abercrombie & Fitch garments. There. Much better.

Stylish threads: Paul Weller blazer

Paul Weller

Always have done. Which is why I was nervous to hear the Modfather was bringing out his own range of clobber. Turns out it’s good (phew). A very simple range of tailoring — such as this high-break double-breasted blazer — and a few casual basics. (realstarsarerare.com)
