Never again will you be stuck for a drooling face, wilting rose or rasher of bacon when texting on your smartphone, as it's been announced that 38 new emojis are up for consideration to be included in the popular keyboard’s update next year.

Also in the running to be included are a dancing man (to complement the infamous flamenco dancer), a croissant and an avocado.

Although the Unicode 9 consortium will make the ultimate decision on which of the new pictures will make the cut, they are yet to release images of how each of the new emojis might look.

However, the emoji experts at Emojipedia have handily commissioned graphic designer Joshua M. Jones to mock up the new emojis in Apple’s signature style to give us a glimpse of what could be in store.

Here's what we can expect from the next update:

1) Groom in a Tuxedo

The emoji groom will complement the existing bride.

4) Prince

The princess gets a prince (that looks an awful lot like prince Joffrey from Game of Thrones).
