A London Instagrammer who has gained a cult following on the app for his playful paper cut-outs has now turned his crafty eye towards some of the nation’s favourite Disney characters.

Rich McCor, who’s known as @Paperboyo on Instagram, has transformed Britain’s most iconic cityscapes, turning them into a backdrop for his intricate paper scenes.

In his new series of posts, Newcastle’s iconic Tyne Bridge has been turned into the Lion King’s famous coming of age Hakuna Matata scene with Simba, Timon and Pumba, Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium into Nemo and London’s skyline has become the playground of Peter Pan as he flies back to Neverland.

Liverpool’s Albert Dock Yard becomes the ballroom of Belle and Beast, Bristol’s Clifton Suspension Bridge becomes The Incredibles’ Dash’s race track and Cardiff’s Millennium Centre becomes the new home of Monsters Inc. hero Sully.

The new set of images come as Disneylife, the company's digital streaming service, launches in the UK.

With more than 135,000 followers on his Instagram account, Paperboyo has become known for his quirky adaptations of location hotspots all over the world, but most notably, for his images of London.

He told the Evening Standard that he started his quirky portfolio of cut-outs as a way to stand out from other creatives in the capital.

He said: "There are so many talented landscape photographers in London but I wanted to try and find my own way of shooting the city.”

The photographer says he would now like to take his playful vignettes to the Rio Olympics.
