London men turn into their fathers at the age of 50, research suggests today.

More than half have noticed they are picking up some of their father’s attributes and mannerisms, with 44 per cent saying they have started saying the same phrases.

With Father’s Day just around the corner, men in London were polled on their father son relationship as part of a study of 1,000 men conducted by Deezer.

The results revealed that most Londoners become a chip off the old block when they hit the half century mark.

Fifteen per cent said they felt mortified at becoming their father as they still consider themselves to be young, but 37 per cent said they could not be more proud, as their father was their role model.

However, 65 per cent of men said they still think their father’s taste in music is terrible — with the average Londoner rating it at five out of 10.

But it's not just their dad's mannerisms they're likely to adopt. 43 per cent of London men say that when they look in the mirror they can see their “old man’s" features.
