The look: Elegant. A beautiful brasserie and cocktail lounge with a menu of modern British cuisine. Upstairs, English oak tables are adorned with locally-sourced linens and leathers sit against a feature wall of poetry and antique maps. Downstairs, ornate furniture and Mad Hatter-esque chairs surround deep purple sofas.
Who's behind it?: Owner James Robson has enlisted the help of designers James Williamson and Lucy Ford to give the space a warm and inviting feel.
What should I try? Dressed Portland crab for starters, collar of cod with crispy chicken, Jerusalem artichokes and black lentils, and passion fruit cheesecake for dessert.
