Brand of the week

French Connection - I recently visited the kings road store and am really impressed with some of their spring/summer collection. I picked up a few pieces, my favourite being the pin stripe shorts, which I wore at their launch party .

Product of the week

I have been wearing my Taylor Morris Louis Orson sunglasses. I love the shape and quality of these shades and especially like the tortoise shell finish.

Discovery of the week

I am a massive fan of Mexican and this week I went to Tonteria, a mad Mexican Tapas lounge and tequila night spot on Sloane Square. During the early evening Tonteria specialises in offering yummy bite-sized Mexican tapas alongside delicious tequila cocktails. Then later on in the night the crowd builds and it turns into a lively club. My favourite feature is the electric train that is attached to the ceiling that carries tequila shots from table to table, and the frozen margaritas are unreal.

Event of the week

I attended the French Connection #canthelpmyselfie launch party at the Regent Street store. Decked out in pin-striped shorts and a quilted sweat from their current collection, i felt cool as FCUK.

Tapping into the biggest social trend of the year French Connection launched the UK’s first interactive selfie booth in collaboration with digital creative agency, Somewhat.

The launch, titled #canthelpmyselfie takes inspiration from the worldwide phenomenon thrown into the spotlight through social media charity campaigns as well as worldwide celebrity endorsement.

I am not a massive fan of selfies but of course I had to get involved. The selfies that people took throughout the night were projected on rotation into the large scale windows of the Regent Street store.

There was a great buzz and Tia Maria cocktails were flowing as Jack Guinness and Nina Nesbitt hit up the decks. There was a great crowd which included stylists, bloggers, fashionistas and even photographer Ian Rankin.

It was also really great to catch up with up and coming girl band Neon Jungle, love those girls.
