Alexandra Palace will host Classic & Sports Car – The London Show on 30 October to 1 November, with more than 300 classic and vintage cars on display.

Timed to dovetail with the London to Brighton run, Regent Street motor show and Bonhams auction of veteran vehicles, the show will feature exhibits from collectors, dealers and car makers alike.

Among the latter is Aston Martin, which will display its oldest surviving car in the shape of a freshly restored 1921 A3.

Visitors to the show will also get to cast their eyes over classic Jaguars, Bentleys, Rolls-Royces and more, with a wide range of leading dealers exhibiting choice vehicles from their stock.

And Classic & Sports Car magazine will present a highlight of the show by naming the best British car of all time – as decided by a public vote from a shortlist chosen by key figures from the classic car world.

The poll asked voters to choose from a mouth-watering array of British greats: Austin Seven, Bentley Speed Six, Ford GT40, Jaguar E-Type, Jaguar XK SS, Lotus Seven, McLaren F1, Mini Cooper S, Range Rover and Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost.

Support for the show has come from far and wide – including from some of the best-known names in the history of motoring.

Show highlight: naming the best British car of all time

‘To me, London is the centre of the world and it is essential that it has a top-quality classic car show,’ said none other than Sir Stirling Moss OBE. ‘Alexandra Palace is the perfect venue and, with Classic & Sports Car being the world leader in its field, it is an event people should definitely add to their diaries.’
