The undisputed and self-appointed queen of modelling Naomi Campbell has announced she is running a Masterclass series to impart the wisdom learned from her extensive career as a supermodel.

Campbell, 52, who has been working as a model for over 36 years, is considered one of the most famous supermodels to have ever lived.

She has appeared on more than 40 Vogue covers and 500 magazine covers in total, including Anna Wintour’s first ever Vogue US September issue, which made history as the first time a black woman had appeared on the cover of a Vogue September edition.

In a preview for her Masterclass, which is available now to Masterclass subscribers worldwide, Campbell says to the camera: “I find even to this day, 36 years later, I’m in front of the camera and I’m suddenly holding my breath.”

As well as modelling advice, Campbell’s Masterclass will also aim to teach viewers how to live with confidence, handle rejection, and educate individuals on her own story, including a segment on how she is striving to make the fashion world increasingly inclusive.

The class is pitched as less of a modelling 101 and more of a life bible as told by Naomi, with lessons that can be applied “in front of the camera and in everyday life.”

However, it will touch on certain modelling basics, such as how to develop a signature walk, craft an impressive lookbook, and experiment with poses. Campbell confesses to the camera: “In the early part of my career, I had no idea how to pose,” and goes on to explain how her dance background allowed her to experiment with different movements and poses.

Campbell’s series will also show her working with four up-and-coming models and giving them advice for entering the industry.

A complete episode breakdown lists the lessons available in Campbell’s Masterclass as: “Meet Your Instructor: Naomi Campbell, Casting Calls and Beyond: How to Navigate the Modelling Industry, Campaigns and Editorials: Building a Versatile Lookbook, Posing: Telling a Story With Your Body, New Faces: Photo Session, Catwalk: Finding Your Stride, New Faces: Runway Walk, Bonus: Mentoring the Next Generation of Fashion.”

The founder and CEO of Masterclass, David Rogier, said of the series: "Naomi is a legend, whose confidence, poise and fearlessness have helped her inspire and advocate for younger generations coming up in the fashion world and beyond.”

She joins the illustrious cast of Masterclasses past, including Annie Leibovitz, James Cameron, Kris Jenner, Judd Apatow, Gordon Ramsay, Yotam Ottolenghi, Malcolm Gladwell, Salmon Rushdie and Shonda Rhimes. The biggest in the biz, basically.
