Olé! Hot foot it with Joanne Stoker's shoes

We’ve got a spring in our step thanks to these high and mighty heels.

Be gone clompy winter boots, hello fun summery shoes and welcome to our newly pedicured feet. Oh how we’ve missed you.

We have spring cleaned the bottom drawer of our wardrobes especially to make space for this season’s hot steppers, and thrown away more pairs of battered Havaianas than we might care to mention.

Taking pride of place is new footwear designer du jour Joanne Stoker. The 28-year-old Brit, who works from her studio in Hoxton and was mentored by Jimmy Choo, wants to ‘create beautiful and conceptual shoes that astound and delight’. We’re certainly delighted with her current collection, which comprises three ranges: Indian Artisan Summer (wood, wedges and gold lame rope); Empire States (leather, feathers and towering Perspex heels) and our favourite, Cuban Deco. It’s easy to forget that footwear can be fun, but these bright neon, cocktail-inspired wedges and stilettos are the sartorial equivalent of downing three tequila shots and dancing on a table with a man named José.

Just look at this ridiculous, garish, Lime Martini Sandal. It comes in transparent fluorescent yellow plexi, with pleated lime green suede leather detailing, and a fine duck blue suede 4 1/2" stiletto heel. Frankly, what’s not to love? Sure, you’ll look a bit silly if you topple over while running for the bus in these beauties, but pick yourself up with a jaunty ‘Olé !’; it’s all part of the fun.
