The look: Low lighting, high decorative ceilings and wood panelled walls create a cosy living room feel while the geometric print carpet, eclectic mix of fabrics and Damien Hirst artwork add a modern infusion. An absolute joy.

Who's behind it? World famous chef Hélène Darroze enlisted the help of Indian architect India Mahdavi to create the restaurant’s sophisticated environment and commission the colourful glass central display.

Delicious: the menu is impeccable

What should I try? To reflect Hélène Darroze’s passion for the finest, simplest ingredients, guests are greeted at the restaurant by large presentation cubes, displaying her freshly made breads, selected cheese by master fromager Bernard Anthony, pots of wild herbs and reels of freshly churned butter.

The tasting menu is selected using a marble board game, with each of the marbles displaying a key ingredient. The langoustine; white truffle with acquerello rice or sea bream with coco beans are just a few of the highlights. Finish with the chocolate served with bourbon vanilla. coriander and praline.

Modern meets traditional: old and new blend beautifully

Go there if: You are yearning a special and sophisticated dining experience with two Michelin stars.

Cheque out: Set lunch menu from £30 per head. The a la carte is from £52 with three products available during lunch only, then from £92. The nine-course tasting menu is the Chef’s choice on the day and costs £155.
