Where do you live and why?
I live in Los Angeles now, but when I first came to London in 1964 I lived in Shepherd's Bush until my first big hit, when I moved to Weybridge, Surrey, and bought a big house and a shiny new car.
Which London hotel do you stay at?
I stay at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. I love it there and always get a suite with amazing views over the park.
What was the last show you saw in London?
Doctor Dolittle at the Hammersmith Apollo with Phillip Schofield. It was quite good.
What advice would you give to a tourist?
Enjoy the architecture. You'll see so much of British history if you look at St Paul's, the Tower of London and, of course, Buckingham Palace.
What have been your most memorable meals?
At Le Caprice: I go there after I do Later... with Jools Holland. You can always get great food and I love that it's open late. Langan's Brasserie, W1, is good for a bit of fun. I always have liver, bacon and onions there.
What are your favourite home comforts?
My pillow: I need a hard pillow and hate soft ones.
What would you do if Mayor for the day?
I'd walk around with one of those big chains all the time - I've never had a chain that big.
What is your life philosophy?
Live and let live.
Do you have a favourite view of London?
Flying over London - on a nice day there's no other city like it.
Which aftershave do you wear?
I don't wear aftershave but my deodorant is Secret de Venus by Weil.
What are your current projects?
I'm touring at the moment and also have a CD out called 24 Hours.
Which is your favourite street for shopping?
Savile Row can't be beaten if you want to buy a suit.
What is your favourite item in your wardrobe?
My M&S cotton briefs. I bought my first pair in 1964 and really can't wear anything else.
What's the most romantic spot in London?
Hyde Park. You see different types of people in love, walking hand in hand, which is nice.
What is your favourite late-night hangout?
Tramp nightclub. It's got a nice intimate atmosphere and I like [co-founder] Johnny Gold. I also like the Met Bar on Park Lane. It's not too big and it's a good place to hang out.
