Nestled at the bottom of the Malvern Foothills on the Herefordshire-Gloucestershire border, this week’s Cool Stay of the Week is an expansive private estate comprising of four barn conversions.
Available individually or as a four cottage, 24-guest compound Fairoaks offers some serious luxury in the British countryside.
Each of the lush conversions has its own private garden and they share an indoor swimming pool and expansive dining room which can accommodate 24 guests – each cottage has its own dining areas as well.
Built in 1825, the recently renovated barns have a stunning interior aesthetic with exposed timber beams, high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and farmhouse-style kitchens.
The largest of the barns, Millhouse, sleeps eight in its four bedrooms with the master bedroom offering a king-size bed with a roll top bath and walk in shower.
The other conversions include The Barn, with rustic French décor and room to sleep eight; The Carthouse, with open-plan living and space for four and The Piggery, with a Scandinavian-inspired interior and room for four guests.
Each of the conversions boast underfloor heating, making them the perfect cosy getaways for the cooler months. Each is also kitted out with a log burning stove, entertainment systems and views across the Cotswold countryside.
Cheltenham is a short drive away as is the heart of the Cotswolds. Closer by you’ll find the town of Ledbury, with its rich literary history, just five miles away.
