The most-hyped night of the Hollywood awards season is upon us.
That’s right, this Sunday night will see A-listers walk down the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles to see who will win the coveted Academy Awards.
Yet, our favourite part of the Oscars each year is not who wins (although we admit we gave a little cheer when we heard Greta Gerwig was nominated for Best Director), but what is in the goodie bags given to all the nominees.
This year’s goodie bags contain a ludicrous £72,000 worth of products, holidays and treatments. Yep, each nominee is receiving a ‘goodie bag’ worth nearly three times the average UK salary.
Among the products in this year’s bag is a gum rejuvenation treatment, a week-long spa retreat and three – yes three – luxury holidays.
1. A tailored trip to Tanzania
Possibly the holiday we’re the most envious of, the stars will be treated to a 12-night holiday in Tanzania where they’ll have the opportunity to visit Zanzibar and go glamping in the Serengeti National Park.
2. A six-night stay in Hawaii
The Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu overlooks the ocean, but within the resort you will find luxurious pools and Jacuzzis, a cascading man-made waterfall and spa services.
3. A stay at a five-star Greek resort
If the above weren’t enough, the stars will also be treated to an overnight stay at the heavenly Avaton Luxury Villas Resort in Halkidiki, Greece.
The resort contains 16 villas, some with their own private pools and just the right amount of privacy an A-List celeb needs.
It really is a pity that Hollywood stars can’t afford their own luxury holidays … oh, wait.
