Poldark has returned to our TVs once more – and with it Aiden Turner’s oiled torso – and Cornwall’s wild and breathtaking scenery is in the spotlight once again.

From the quaint town of Charletston to the wide sweep of Porthcurno Beach, the TV drama shows off the best of this beautiful county.

So if Poldark has got you hankering for a windswept staycation in the West Country, you’ll love Cool Stays’ edit of fantastic properties you can rent there.

From romantic seafront cabins for two to spa hotel, here are seven of Cornwall’s most amazing places to stay.

The Dell, Whitsand Bay

If you’re all about endless views for two, The Dell is your dream come true. Perched high on Tregonhawke Cliff in South Cornwall’s Whitsand Bay, this chalet-style cottage has large French doors leading out onto the terrace, which appears to drop straight into the glittering sea – the ideal spot for sundowners and romantic alfresco dinners. Inside, it’s open-plan, with a cosy meets seaside chic vibe. Swimming, surfing, eating – that’s your staycation here sorted.

Sandcrest Cottage

Near Mawgan Porth on the north Cornish coast, The Dune gives you the best of both worlds. Nestled in sand dunes, a private deck looks out over a secluded cove – there’s a hot tub and outdoor roll top bath – and there’s no mobile phone signal, but you can walk to the nearest town in 10 minutes. Sleeps 6.
