Most of us will have a handful of bucket list of destinations that we want to visit in our lifetime.

But for Cassandra De Pecol, the ultimate travel dream was to visit every country in the world, an incredible feat that would take her to all four corners of the earth.

Setting off in July 2015, the 27-year-old from Connecticut became the fastest person and first documented woman to travel to every single one of the world’s 196 sovereign nations, breaking a Guinness World Record in the process.

She finally completed the journey in February 2017, making the voyage 18 months and 26 days in total.

Recording the experience of being a solo traveler on her blog, Expedition 196, De Pecol visited some of the world’s most wanderlust-inducing corners, from unspoilt tropical beaches to endless desert plains.
