Rumour has it, Universal is set to open a Lord of the Rings theme park and people are going mad for it.

According to the Disney and More blog, which has previously revealed accurate theme park news, Orlando’s latest project is being constructed under the code name “Project 314” and could be completed as early as 2023.

In addition to Lord of the Rings, Project 314 will reportedly consist of three other lands, too, and people are already busy speculating what they’ll be.

The most popular theory is that it will almost certainly contain a Super Nintendo park with “a Zelda ride, a Mario kart ride, a Donkey Kong roller coaster, and play areas”. It’s also thought that the “Ministry of Magic”, from Harry Potter prequels "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", will be opened and a Jurassic World, in addition to the Jurassic Park, which is already open.

Other exciting changes are already afoot over at Disney Land with Toy Story Land opening at Walt Disney World Resort on the 30th June. It will feature new rides like Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers, the fan-favourite attraction Toy Story Mania! and restaurants like Woody's Lunch Box.

Tempted to book a flight to Orlando ASAP? You’re not the only one.
