This week's shopping must-haves...

Remember, Remember
Don't fancy the fireworks? Head to Nobu on the Fifth of November for the capital's first Afro Hair Catwalk. Showcasing Afro-hair trends from the 1950's onwards, the show - hosted by Nubian Events - will feature clothes by the award winning designer Nkwo, hair by Angela Plummer and Morris Roots and promises to be an energetic celebration of African hair trends from the past sixty years. The event will include a four-course dinner: for tickets visit www.nubianevents.co.uk

For One Night Only
As the armchair shopper's alternative to Vogue's Fashion Night Out, when the capital's retailers come together in one fun night of retail debauchery, Vogue's Fashion Night In takes place on Monday. Bringing together key online retailers, including ASOS, net-a-porter.com and my-wardrobe.com, the event offers a live catwalk show, streamed online at my-wardrobe.com, a host of click-to-win competitions and, most importantly, the chance to browse pages of shiny new exclusive products. Nylon
As a homage to the Departures board at Heathrow, Henry Holland has created a capsule collection of sweaters that celebrate the world's fashionable cities. The range — London, Paris, New York and LA — features a kooky Eiffel Tower print and, for us, Big Ben. £250, available at Selfridges (0800 1234 00). Plus, thanks to Henry's latest collaboration with Pretty Polly, you can get a pair of tights to match. (£12, prettypolly.co.uk) KD

Future perfect
Another season, another new shoe designer to lust over This time it's the turn of Central Saint Martins graduate Michael Lewis, who worked alongside Marc Jacobs and Christopher Bailey before setting up his own label. Already a favourite with the industry's key players — Anna Wintour and Carine Roitfeld are both fans, while Donatella has just signed him up to design for Versace — Lewis is the cobbler to watch in 2011. We love the futuristic look of these platform-soled ankle boots (£490). Available at Harvey Nichols (020 7584 0011)
