A JOKE about the 9/11 terrorist attacks was cut from Jean Dujardin's new film so he could win an Oscar, it emerged today.

The 39-year-old star of The Artist scooped the best actor statue in Hollywood on Sunday.

In the scene in Les Infidèeles Dujardin plays an unfaithful New York husband who takes a girlfriend to a hotel room.
