Emma Watson 'planning to buy exclusive apartment in upmarket area of New York'

Emma Watson has been spotted viewing properties in a lavish apartment building in New York where homes are sold for up to £10 million.

The 23-year-old actress reportedly has her eye on a lavish pad in an upmarket region of Manhattan.

And it seems money is no object for the former Harry Potter star either, as she was looking at luxury homes within a new building at 150 East 72nd Street, according to reports in the New York Post.

She previously looked at buying a New York home two years ago, and was said to have been considering splashing out on more than £1.9million on a penthouse near Central Park.

Watson - who is dating Oxford University rugby star Matthew Janney - is the final year of an English degree at Brown University.

She initially enrolled at Brown in 2010 but later dropped out to film the last Harry Potter film.

She then transferred to Oxford University the following year but had to put her studies on hold when she was cast in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.

Now in her final year at Brown, she reportedly turned down a string of film roles earlier this month in order to focus on her upcoming university exams in May.

A source said recently: "Emma is in demand with Hollywood directors but has so much to focus on with her studies, that she has had to pass on a few things - she simply can't do everything."
