The lawyer who helped former X Factor judge Tulisa beat drugs charges today hailed her as "an amazing young woman".
A judge threw out the case against the star after she was charged with being concerned in a cocaine deal with her friend Mike GLC after a tabloid sting.
After a high profile trial at the Old Bailey, the 26-year-old former N-Dubz star wept when she was cleared of the charges.
Speaking on London Live's Headline Interview, her lawyer Ben Rose paid tribute to the star for the way she coped with the spotlight during the case.
"I think she's an amazing young woman," he said.
"I was so impressed. She's in the middle of a media storm [and] her career is on hold during the whole time of the investigation and the prosecution."
Tulisa, whose real name is Tula Contostavlos, starred in a BBC documentary about the trial, something Mr Rose, who is a founding partner of City law firm Hickman and Rose, claimed reveals her strength of character.
He said: "For those of you who may not have seen it, there was a television show documenting all of that that I had nothing to do with.
"It was her idea, and it gave a very real insight into what that was like for an individual, and I just take my hat off to her and the way she held herself together.
"She's genuine, she was innocent of the matters she was charge with and that takes a certain amount of inner steel to do that in this heat."
