A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the murder of a teenager killed trying to recover a BlackBerry phone stolen from his younger brother.

Dogan Ismail, 17, was killed on an estate in Walworth, south-east London on December 30.

Officers had been trying to trace the 15-year-old, from Peckham, south-east London, who was last seen on the day of the murder.

He was arrested yesterday and remains in custody, Scotland Yard said.

Dogan was killed outside Latimer House on Aylesbury Estate after going there with his 15-year-old brother Orhan to recover his phone, which was stolen two days earlier.

They encountered a group of four males and during an "altercation" the victim was fatally injured.

Anthony Munroe, 18, has been charged with Dogan's murder and will appear at the Old Bailey on March 1.

The agency worker is also charged with one count of theft, committed on the day of the murder.

A 24-year-old woman was arrested on January 10 on suspicion of assisting an offender. She was taken to a south London police station and bailed to return on February 26.
