A teenager is fighting for his life in hospital after being stabbed in south-west London.

The victim, 18, was found suffering a knife wound after being attacked in Balham Hill, Wandsworth, on Wednesday evening.

He was flown to hospital by the London Air Ambulance service where he remained in a critical condition.

Police were scrambled to the scene just after 6pm.

The road was cordoned off while officers investigated the stabbing.

A Met Police spokesman said: “The injured male was taken by HEMS to a west London hospital.”

“Officers from South West Command Unit investigate.”

No arrests have been made.
