This is the moment a man robbed a chemist in south London while allegedly armed with a large kitchen knife.

Police said the suspect walked into the store in Durnsford Road, Wimbledon, at 3.15pm on Tuesday, October 13 and demanded money before pulling out the weapon.

The victim was forced to open the till and a petty cash box and the robber stole a quantity of cash before fleeing towards Haydons Road.

A Metropolitan Police Service spokesman said: “The suspect is described as a black man aged in his late 20s to early 30s.

“He wore a blue hooded tracksuit, white trainers and was carrying a black holdall.”

Police said they want to hear from anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV footage.

Anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting reference 203621.
