Dalston assault: Murder charge after man dies after attack in east London

A man has been charged with murder after a man died following an assault in east London.

Romayne Husbands, 26, of Winchester Road, Highams Park, was arrested after police were called to an incident in Trinity Close, Dalston on Saturday.

Officers and paramedics found a 27-year-old man with head injuries at the scene.

The victim was taken in a life-threatening condition to hospital, where he later died.

The charge has been brought in connection with an investigation led by homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime North.

Husbands was due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
