A driver today admitted killing three teenage boys in a car crash.

Jaynesh Chudasama, of Hayes, west London, pleaded guilty to three counts of causing death by dangerous driving during a hearing at the Old Bailey.

The 28-year-old was the driver of the Audi that hit three friends on Shepiston Lane in Hayes.

Harry Louis Rice, 17, and 16-year-olds George Toby Wilkinson and Josh McGuinness were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims had been making their way to a friend’s 16th birthday party when they were struck outside the Esso garage and Cherry Lane Cemetery.

Chudasama, who appeared in the dock in a grey prison-issue tracksuit, admitted three counts of death by dangerous driving at the Old Bailey today.

He hung his head as Crispin Aylett QC, prosecuting, said: “In the course of overtaking another vehicle the defendant, who had been drinking, lost control of his car.

“The vehicle struck and fatally injured three boys who were walking along the pavement.”

Members of the public realised what was going on and prevented Chudasama from making off.

He was arrested shortly afterwards.

Grief stricken family and friends left flowers and condolences at the scene following the crash.

Sentencing was expected to be adjourned until March 9 to allow impact statements to be prepared by grieving relatives of the boys, some of whom attended court today.
