Detectives investigating the rape of a woman near a Tesco store in Essex have issued an e-fit image of their prime suspect.
The man is alleged to have attacked his victim, who is aged in her 20s, as she walked away from the Fullbridge Tesco near an underpass on Mill Lane, Maldon.
He is described by police as Asian, 25 to 30-years-old, between 5'10" and 6'0" with facial stubble. He was wearing a Superdry jacket with a green logo.
His accomplice, another man who is described as slightly taller than the first, was wearing a black coat and hooded top.
The attack on Saturday afternoon previously saw two men arrested who were both later released without charge.
DCI Simon Werrett, who is leading the investigation for Essex Police, said: "This happened around Saturday tea time, when the shop would have been busy, I am sure someone must have seen the men hanging around or even spoken to them.
“It is really important that people have a close look at the e-fit image and let us know as soon as possible whether they recognise this man."
He continued: “Equally, are you aware of anyone matching these descriptions who was acting strangely over the weekend and may have been in the Maldon area?
“I need anyone who has any information to contact my team as soon as possible so we can catch the men responsible and get justice for this woman.”
