Five men were arrested after a man was allegedly assaulted by a masked gang wielding baseball bats and a crow bar.
Police said a gang dressed in balaclavas set upon a 41-year-old man in an attack in Enfield on Monday morning.
The victim was left with “multiple injuries” but refused hospital treatment after the alleged assault outside Mus Tyres in Alma Road at about 10am.
Detectives said the gang fled the scene in a black Honda Accord, which was then stopped “a short distance away”.
Five men who were arrested and are aged between 19 and 42 all remain in custody.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Officers from Enfield CID are investigating and appeal for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the assault to contact them.
"Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who videoed or took photos of the incident to get in contact with them.”
