Police have made a fresh appeal a year on from the death of a man in a hit-and-run.

Steven Howard, 52, died after being struck by a car on Chase Green Avenue in Enfield just after 5pm on Wednesday November 28 last year.

The driver did not stop at the scene.

Detectives believe that the vehicle was a dark coloured Smartcar and the registration plate began with the letter E.

Detective Sergeant José-Paulo Qureshi said: “I would like to think that this hit-and-run has been playing on the driver’s mind for a whole year and they will now do the right thing and come forward and hand themselves in.”
