A “violent” female grime artist has been jailed for attacking her partner in her own home.

Lady Fury, real name Coelle Holly Beaupierre, has been sent to prison for 20 months for the attack that saw her partner jump out of a second floor window to escape.

Beaupierre, 33, from Ilford, was convicted on two charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

She has produced music for more than a decade under the name Lady Fury, and has recorded music with the likes of Skepta, JME and Tinchy Stryder.

The musician was sentenced at Croydon Crown Court on Monday, and also had a restraining order placed on her.

A statement from the Metropolitan Police described how Beaupierre’s partner, a 31-year-old woman, “had never gone to the police out of fear of what Beaupierre would do.”

Beaupierre’s attack happened in February this year at her partner’s home in Mitcham, south London.

The court heard Beaupierre accused her partner of having someone else in the home, and that the victim suffered “prolonged assaults over a period of time, and sustained bruising and minor cuts, which included a large footprint shaped bruise on her leg where she was stamped on”.

The victim then leapt from a second floor window and ran to a nearby pub, where the landlord rang 999.

The caller told an emergency services operator that a woman “covered in blood” had come into the pub and needed help.

“A subsequent investigation brought historic assaults to light and medical evidence plus statements from witnesses helped to secure further charges,” the Met statement added.

“Beaupierre previously pleaded guilty to breaking the victim’s nose by kicking her in the face. This took place in Wallington in February 2016.

“She admitted that she acted recklessly in doing so, and the court was told that the victim needed an operation to re-set her nose, as well as wearing a cast for six weeks.”

Beaupierre was arrested on February 13 of this year.

DC Nikki Buge said: “Beaupierre is a violent offender and the convictions she has received today reflect her violence.

“The victim in this case was forced to go to trial and relive the ordeals Beaupierre put her through – however, thanks to her bravery the Jury has seen through Beaupierre’s lies and attempts to evade justice and she been convicted of assault.

“Beaupierre has shown no remorse for her actions, and continuously denied the allegations against her.

“The most recent assault took place inside the victim’s home, a place where she was meant to feel safe and this is devastating in itself.

“I would urge anyone who has been the victim of domestic abuse to contact police; specially trained officers are here to help you.”
