The family of a 25-year-old mother found dead in a car in Hackney have paid moving tribute to her as a “loving” and “vibrant” soul.

Ms Westcarr-Sabaroche’s boyfriend, Gogoa Tape, 27, has been charged with her murder.

In a tribute page set up online, her family paid tribute to the Digital Marketing Apprentice as someone who “cherished” life and always found “reasons to be grateful”.

In a GoFundMe page, relatives said: “Her passing has left a void that echoes in the hearts of her family and friends.

“As the youngest of four siblings, she was the family’s beacon of optimism, a lover of people, a cheerleader when you need one and her moral compass always pointed in the right direction.

“She was someone who cherished moments, finding joy in dancing, trying new things, and spending time with loved ones.

“Kennedi's upbeat nature and love for TikTok dances and karaoke were contagious, and she approached life with a 'cup half-full' attitude, always finding reasons to be grateful.”

The 25-year-old, who had worked at the Prince’s Trust, had a two-year-old daughter, and “embraced motherhood like a duck to water,” relatives added.

“She devoted her time to her daughter’s learning and development, and championed the nursery staff who supported that journey,” they said.

Colleagues also described Ms Westcarr-Sabaroche as a “beautiful young girl taken far too soon,” with one saying: “It broke my heart to hear what happened to her.”

To date, more than £11,000 has been raised in her memory.

Judge Alexia Durran set a timetable for the case, with a plea hearing on June 26 and a provisional two-week trial from February 3, 2025.
