A man has been left fighting for his life after three people were shot in a busy street in north-east London.

Emergency services rushed to Homerton High Road in Hackney just before 11pm on Sunday following reports of a shooting.

They found three people with gunshot wounds.

Two men, aged 60 and 32, were taken to hospital with non life-changing injuries.

A third man, aged 24, was taken to hospital and remains in a life-threatening condition.

Specialist detectives are now investigating and a crime scene remains in place.

So far there have been no arrests.

There will be an enhanced police presence in the area, Scotland Yard said.
