A hand grenade and luxury cars were seized as police arrested eight women suspected of committing high value fraud against a high-street chain.
In dramatic dawn raids across the south-east involving 160 police officers, a Porsche Cayenne, a Mercedes ML60 sports car, a moped, cannabis, two guns and a stab vest as well as the grenade were seized.
Around £3,000 in cash was also recovered.
The women, aged between 17 and 50, were held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit fraud between December last year and October this year.
They are accused of a conspiracy to defraud the retailer - which the Met is not naming - of £145,000 in that period.
A 28-year-old man was also held on suspicion of growing cannabis, Scotland Yard said.
Scotland Yard said the suspects were all bailed to return to a police station in December.
Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Gould, from the Met’s organised crime command, said: “Large-scale fraud undertaken by organised criminal networks hurt businesses and communities and is often used to fund other forms of criminality."
