A man is fighting for life in hospital after being stabbed outside a north London Tube station.

Police were called to reports of an “altercation” near Harrow-on-the-Hill station, Harrow, at 8.15pm on Monday.

Officers rushed to the scene on College Road but by the time they arrived the victim had already been taken away in a vehicle.

A man, believed to be the victim, then turned up at a nearby hospital suffering from stab injuries.

The Met Police described his condition as “life-threatening” on Monday night.

A cordon was erected around the front of the Metropolitan line station, which remained open via separate entrances. The road was closed off and buses were placed on diversion.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
