An alleged drink-driver flipped their Audi and took out a police box in central London.

Pictures from the scene on the A40 Holborn Viaduct show a white car on its roof near the Tesco Express and debris littered along the carriageway.

The incident took place at around 3am on Sunday, City of London Police said.

"Driver has taken out street furniture and miraculously not injured himself or anyone else," a police spokesman said.
