Police have launched a manhunt for a flasher who has struck six times around Hampstead Heath.

The man jumped out on a woman walking down a road next to the heath in north London on Monday morning and exposed himself in the latest in a string of incidents.

Officers scoured the area looking for the suspect, who has so far targeted women, but he escaped.

Schools have issued warnings to pupils and parents about the prowler who has struck on Heath Brow, Kenwood House, West Heath Road and Jack Straw’s Castle.

Eyewitnesses have said the man, who is believed to be in his thirties, carries a knife.

He has been seen wearing a dark woolly hat and either walking boots or trainers with ankle socks.

The flasher struck three times on 28 October and the women targeted in all six incidents have been left “shocked and upset” according to police.

Detective Inspector Tressey Clarke, from Camden Police’s Major Crime Unit, said: “Officers are appealing for witnesses and information in relation to a series of sex exposures that have taken place on Hampstead Heath,

“Detectives are investigating a number of incidents that have occurred since 23 October.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or Camden Police on 101.
