Jose Mourinho has been banned from driving for six months after being caught speeding.

The Chelsea manager admitted driving at 60mph in a 50mph zone near the club's Cobham training ground.

He did not appear in court but admitted to the offence on the A3 in Esher, Surrey, last September.

After a hearing at Staines Magistrates' Court he was ordered to pay £910 in fines and court costs.

Mourinho already had nine points on his licence when he was caught speeding.

The 52-year-old - who has previously managed Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Porto during a glittering career - was not required to attend the hearing, the court official said.
