Lewisham stabbing: 15-year-old boy stabbed to death after fight in south-east London

A 15-year-old boy has died after he was stabbed on a street in south-east London.

Police and paramedics were called to New Cross Road in Lewisham shortly before 8pm to reports of an altercation between a number of youths.

A Met spokeswoman said officers found a 15-year-old boy with a stab wound.

He was taken by ambulance to a south London hospital where he was pronounced dead just after 9pm.

Two youths were arrested close to the scene and remain in custody at a south London police station.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command have been informed.
