A man has admitted racially abusing a pensioner on a bus in north London after the expletive ridden rant was caught on camera.

Kashif Samuels, 25, was charged with a racially/religiously aggravated public order offence and pleaded guilty in court today, October 21.

Footage posted online showed the victim, who is believed to be Turkish, subjected to a torrent of Islamophobic abuse on a route 149 bus in Tottenham on Thursday, October 15.

During the three minute video, the victim is told to “go back to Turkey, oh no you can’t go to Turkey can you because s**t gets blown up there. That’s why you’re here, free benefits and a walker. That walker’s gonna go flying when the bus stops”.

Samuels is also filmed calling the victim a “w***er”, threatening the man and insulting Allah.

The barrage of abuse ends when Samuels got off the bus in Dalston, but he proceeded to grab the victim’s walking frame from the bus and throws it onto the street.

Samuels, of Duffield Drive, Tottenham, will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court for sentencing on Thursday, November 5.
